Hello, and very many thanks for your interest
in the Official European Kevin Sorbo Fanclub!
Its hard to believe but it’s true – we have already been working since March 9th, 1998. Thanks to cult series like HERCULES, XENA, and Gene Roddenberry’s ANDROMEDA, we have been able to establish a firm place in international fandom.
Kevin Sorbo has also guest-starred in other US TV series, such as Cybil, Dharma and Greg, According to Jim, Hope & Faith, The Bounty Hunter, 2and a half men, The Middleman, to name but a few; he has starred in independent movies:
Last Chance Café, Walking Tall II and III, Avenging Angel,
Something Beneath, Never Cry Werewolf, and has been a guest in many talk shows. It is never boring with Kevin around, because something is happening all the time, and Kevin Sorbo is usually in the thick of it. If he isn’t standing in front of the camera, Kevin is passionate about playing golf, goes ski-ing,
designs furniture together with his wife Sam, and appears at benefits for his charity organisation A WORLD FIT FOR KIDS.
We are very proud that in 2005 our club was able to celebrate “The 7 Year Itch”- an event that was celebrated with our members; and in 2008 we also celebrated our 10th anniversary with a wonderful clubmeeting with Kevin.
As the Official European Kevin Sorbo Fanclub is officially endorsed we have been able to build up permanent co-operation with TV stations such as RTL, RTL2, Kabel 1, ATV+ and the Sci-Fi Channel, Germany. Some time ago we were also admitted into the confidence of the English Sci-Fi Channel, which, for us, is genuine proof of our quality. In order to keep Kevin’s fans regularly informed about him via the Press as well, we co-operate with magazines like TV Highlights, Space-View, Dreamwatch etc., the German section of “A World Fit for Kids” as well as several other Fan Clubs worldwide!
Our very own fanclub magazine called “The Legendary Journal” is issued four times a year. It is full of up-to-date information – episode guides, photos, news, interviews, reports, contests, offers of contact or penpals etc. All issues have a coloured front/back cover, and are published both in German and English.
A family atmosphere prevails in our club; members come from many different countries: Denmark, The Netherlands,
Canada, USA, Greece, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, United Kingdom, Germany etc. We hold club meetings regularly or meet at conventions, in which case we always try to negotiate special conditions for our members. For example, we are partners with Wolf-Events London, Fedcon-Augsburg, and Gatecon-Vancouver.
Those who want to accompany Kevin in his many and varied activities and are interested in news, photos, interviews etc, are in very good hands in our club, and are very welcome as members!
In this multi-media age we mustn’t forget to mention the internet access, and you’ll find our Homepage at:
http:/www.kevin-sorbo.com
You will also find there the application for membership, available for downloading and printing. Those of you who don’t have a PC or printer, can write to us with a self-addressed envelope and return postage, asking for our flyer.
As well as the quarterly club magazines, you’ll get your own membership pass with lanyard and 2 coloured photos of Kevin Sorbo. Each membership year begins in January and ends in December, so, whenever you join, you will receive all the issues of the magazine, including those already published that year, so that no-one will miss out on anything.
If you choose to end your membership, we would be grateful if you could send a short written note; this also applies to changes of name and address!
