Every time after a convention I‘m asking myself, why the time there is running like crazy while the weeks ago drag on and on.

This time it‘s been the same.

It‘s been a crazy wonderful weekend and an amazing reunion with Kevin and many nice friends.

This time I travelled together with Edith, and it‘s much nicer to do such a journey together. Of course we both were mega excited and accordingly fidgety. Anyhow, we arrived safely at our destination.

The queue of visitors in front of the F.A.C.T.S entrance seems to be endless, but when the doors open we get along pretty quick.

At first the two of us set off to Kevin‘s signing table where we meet Heidi, Lindsey, Peter and some other fans. Kevin‘s not around yet and so I kneel down on the floor to fetch the birthday book that we want to present Kevin with out of my rucksack. When I get up again, Kevin‘s suddenly sitting on his seat.

„Ooops..“ I‘m glad that some fans are ahead of us, because at the sudden unexpected sight of Kevin my legs turn to jelly. I think Kevin has never before looked that great.. (but actually he‘s always a looker)...

But to me his hair looks a bit darker than usual. The fans in front of us say their good-byes, and suddenly I‘m in front of Kevin together with Heidi and Lindsey. A delighted smile lights up his handsome face, his wonderful blue eyes beaming... (cardiac arrest)... „Oh, my fan club‘s here“, he says delightedly and a certain pride in his voice is unmistakable... how nice... could there be any nicer compliment for the club team???
I‘m trying for a firm voice, „hello Kevin, how are you doing... nice to meet you and thanks for coming... this is your birthday book.“ Kevin kindly thanks us all and takes it.

Now I put down the photo I brought for an autograph and Kevin stops short. Questioningly raising an eyebrow he looks at me. „Where did you get this?“ ... „from the internet“, I answer him slightly bemused. Kevin looks at the picture shaking his head... „I can‘t remember that“, he admits. „It‘s from Ash Gupta for an advertisement for Donna Karan“, I tell him... (miraculously my brain‘s still working). Still dubious about the picture Kevin starts signing. Just to be on the safe side I show him my club membership‘s card, not wanting to start a discussion about my name again. „You‘re looking good on it ... as always“, I dare to compliment him and Kevin answers with a charming smile. He starts to talk about the movie he‘s filming, a thriller in which he plays a really bad guy and therefore his hair had been dyed... aha ... so my seeing was right... Kevin continues talking, but now I‘m no longer receptive, my brain turns into a black hole again and I only see Kevin‘s deep blue eyes in front of me. Now Kevin gets up for our photo, he pulls me close and I wrap my arms around his athletic body and enjoy being near him. Peter takes the pictures (Thank you, Peter!) and then Lindsey, Heidi and Edith approach Kevin‘s table.

Of course Heidi and Edith want to be photographed with Kevin as well, and I take on the job gladly (thank you for your confidence, girls) enjoying Kevin‘s nice charming smile to the fullest.

Due to the shooting of his new movie Kevin‘s attending FACTS only for one day... we appreciate him being there very much... we enjoy the time with him and try to be near him as much as possible. The queue of his fans gets even longer and closer and we are barely able to see him anymore. How nice for him to be welcomed that avidly.

Lindsey comes to me handing me over an autograph of Sam... woww. Kevin brought it along as a gift for the team by Sam.... what a kind gesture... (thank you so much)!

Edith and I decide to look around where the photo shooting and the Q&A panel of Kevin are supposed to take place, cause it‘s a pretty tight schedule.

After fighting our way through the crowd for a while it‘s already time to get back for the club meeting. Some known faces have arrived in the meantime and there are friendly hellos and many hugs. There are Kerstin, Charline, Evelyne, Viviane, Ralf as well as Jakub and Vaclav, the two nice boys from Czechia.

Time is running remorselessly. After Edith and I got us something to eat, we arrive at the booth of Aztek-TV where the photo shooting with the stars is to take place. When Kevin arrives we turn into 16 year old teens greeting Kevin with loud calls. Kevin turns towards us, recognizes us and smiles... the attention he‘s getting here obviously does him good.

The shooting starts and before I can start to think I end up to be the first to go to Kevin. With jelly legs I give both of my tickets to the two nice photographers. Kevin receives me with a cordial smile asking: „Which side do you want?“ ... ohmmm... what question, I love both of his sides... and now my little English lets me down completely... I stammer something and Kevin grins. „It‘s your photo.“, and suddenly I‘m in his arms standing at his side. Looking into the camera I put my arms around him... he feels wonderful to my hands. The photographer doesn‘t stop snapping. Kevin and I are slightly confused and above I hear him say, „I think he‘s doing a whole film of us“... and on it goes. „What‘s he doing?“ I ask laughing, but at the same time I enjoy being with Kevin this long. We both start to laugh at the same time and... it‘s an enchanting photo. Laughing I say thank you to Kevin and the girls receive me shouting teasingly.. „well, you won‘t release him at all“... „hey, leave something for us“.. I‘m still totally stunned, but it was a treat I will never forget.

I stay a little bit waiting for Edith. While fighting our way through the still enlarging crowd there‘s suddenly the announcement of Kevin‘s question & answer panel...
Whoops, schedule change??? We‘re on our way. There are not many free seats left, but we get some among the front rows and I hope that I‘m able to take some passable pictures. It takes a while until Kevin arrives and again we greet him vociferously.
Kevin welcomes his fans kindly and then the questioning starts. I manage to ask him about a new western and get the extremely satisfying reply that he‘s going to shoot 9 western. Yepppp... that‘s what I wanted to hear... he‘s going to sit in the saddle again. Edith asks about Illuminati and Kevin tells her that the financing of the movie isn‘t complete yet, at the moment that‘s generally very difficult, and the same‘s with Abelar.

Much too quickly the panel is over, and Edith wants to get back to Kevin for an autograph. While Edith is queuing up I decide to go back to the booth of the photo shooting. Perhaps there are already some pictures finished. While I‘m on my way to the booths Kevin is called back to the photo shooting. Because this is my destination I move there too. Kevin is already there talking to one of the FACTS people. Not wanting to annoy him I keep my distance taking pictures. Kevin lifts his head, looks at me directly and smiles... (cardiac arrest). Of course THIS picture didn‘t come out right, but I‘m still able to get some good portraits.

I wait for a while and in fact there are already some pictures finished and even one of mine... they did an amazing job.. wonderful.. I say thank you and am on my way back to Kevin‘s signing table. Edith and I queue up again for Kevin to sign our photos, and yes, of course we both want to be photographed together with Kevin as we did at Fedcon. When we get to Kevin, he looks at us and starts talking. „The panel has been very short“, he says which we affirm .. „there would have been many more questions to come“. I put my picture in front of him. He looks at it, looks at me and smiles... „oh, very nice“, he says.. „we match in color!“ I acknowledge laughing.. yes, Kevin and I we both wear blue sweaters. Kevin signs my picture with „For Anne, thanks for everything you do.“

Ohhhh wowhhhh... I‘m speechless...and embarrassed... and can‘t say anymore but thank you...

... then Edith, Kevin and I pose for the pictures. What a fun...while reaching for Kevin‘s waist I notice that I got Edith instead and we laugh heartily... that bears on the photo, cause unfortunately it‘s blurred... but mercifully there are two good ones, too. In my cumbersome English I wish Kevin a good journey home and thank him again for everything and for coming to Belgium for only one day in spite of the strain and the jet lag... and that I hope to see him again in Europe. Kevin looks at me kindly ... and I‘m immersing again in deep blue eyes ... he‘s gently running his hand over my shoulder, while telling me that he‘s arranging for a con in Stockholm and London next year!... Ohhhh wonderful!!! So there‘s hope for a reunion.

Suddenly Heidi and Lindsey are with us and we decide to ask Kevin for a collective photo of him and the team with the birthday book and of course he agrees... (He‘s simply a sweetheart). And now we experience some exhilarating moments with Kevin. He had stored his things in a box below his table and again and again he plunges below to look for the book. With every item he brings up looking at us questioningly he gets a „no“..It is very amusing to see Kevin disappearing below the table every now and then. But at last he finds the book and gets to us. His eyes fall on the enclosed dvd and because it‘s a German title he gives us a questioning look. Lindsey explains that this the German Tatort episode with Sam speaking German. Kevin is surprised, delighted and yes there‘s a certain emotion showing in his face. He thanks us and then the photo shooting starts. Many pictures are taken and we get the pleasure of hugging Kevin once more. His shoulder is very near and I can‘t resist to rest my head on it. What a lovely feeling. When all pictures are taken we part.

Edith and I return to the photo booth to wait for the photos.

There we meet Jakub and Vaclav the two nice boys who are also waiting for their pictures and we have much fun together. Time passes and there‘s hardly anyone left in the hall. Edith decides to stay waiting for the pictures whereas I say good-bye to the two very nice photographers and go ahead to fetch our wardrobe.

Jakub and Vaclav keep me company waiting for Edith outside. We decide to spend the rest of the evening together and enjoy some lovely hours.

The day with Kevin passed - it was a wonderful day meeting old friends, finding new friends. Wonderful moments with Kevin that I will never forget... and the hope of seeing Kevin again in Europe next year.
