HM: "Hello Kevin, how are you? Very busy, hmm?"
KS: " Hello Hanne, thanks fine! You are right, I am very busy, we have already
had two other interviews today!"
HM: "And the family is fine?"
KS: "The family is doing fantastik, they are all well. We celebrated Braedon's
birthday last week!"
HM: "Yes, I know. The club mailed a card to him. Did you get it?"
KS: "Yes, but a day later. I was not in the office that day!"
HM: "Okay, thank you for this chance to make an interview with you, Kevin. Shall
we start with the questions?"
KS: "Aha, yeah, go on!"
HM: "We are bombarded with questions about the family: Could you tell us a few
details about your new life with a kid on board?
KS: "Well, it is so much fun to finally have a child! I always wanted to have a
baby, but my life had been different. Too many journeys on different roads kept
me from doing that. But finally when I got married, I wanted to have a family.
So finally I have a baby and now everything does make a whole lot of more sense
to me. Things that used to be important to me, are not that important anymore.
So, what's important is, is to spend time with him and make sure that he is
healthy, save and that he has a good life."
HM: "Kevin do you change the diapers, too?"
KS: "Sure, I change the diapers. No problem."
HM: "Oh, good!"
KS: "That does not even bother me, I haven't been thinking about it. Before I
became a father that stuff just totally grossed me up. And now I just do it.
It's not a big thing, I don't think about it."
HM: "I do remember, my husband was even better in changing the diapers than me."
KS laughing: "See, very good! Sounds pretty good!"
HM: "How many teeth does Braeden have right now?"
KS: "Braeden has 8 teeth."
HM: "Oh, already 8?"
KS: "Yes, he is teething again. All that teething goes on. So I guess he is a
little winy now and then. But he is a great kid. He sleeps 10 / 11 hours every
singly night."
HM: "That's good!"
KS: "Yeah, especially for the parents!"
HM: "Is Braeden already able to walk a little?"
KS: "Yeah, he is walking."
HM: "That's really early for this age!"
KS: "Yeah, he is taking his time. He is making a lot of steps before he decides
to go back to crawling now. But he is walking all over the place."
HM: "Some people asked if Gizmoe is jealous?"
KS "No, you know Gizmoe has been pretty cool the whole time. She never got crazy,
she actually gets better as each week goes by. And she pretty much likes to
sleep in the baby's room. he used to sleep in our room, but now she likes to go
there. She prefers to lie under the baby's crip. And snor under the baby's crip,
so she is not snoring in our bed anymore."
HM: "How is your life now with a child and a dog?"
KS: "You know it's nice. Everything is great. I mean I love to live up here in
Vancouver. It's a gorgeous city and we have a house here. In New Zealand I never
bought a house, I kept moving around every season. So I never really felt like
my life was finally planted there, but now, here in Vancouver, I feel like this
is home!"
HM: "A lot of people from Spain asked about Sam. How is she doing?"
KS: "Sam is doing great. She just finished a short film. Last year she wrote the
script for a short movie, 23 minutes. She directed and produced it this year.
And I guest-starred as one of the actors in it. We will show it on the film
festivals like Sundance and Telluride in the United States. It's a really great
23 minutes short film, she did a great job."
HM: "How is the short movie called?"
KS: "It's called 'Moving Out', like moving out of your house or something like
that."
HM: "You mentioned the "Sundance Film Festival": Is that the independent
festival founded by Robert Redford?"
KS: "Yes, that one. It takes place in Utah!"
HM: "Another question about Sam. Will she return to play in ANDROMEDA?"
KS: "There is an episode out right now, but we do not know if it is for this
year or next year. But we have seen it, it's a very nice script. And Sam will
have a very small part in it. But no, nothing definite in terms of the next
couple of months. We are actually working on getting Bruce Campbell, so we hope
to get ' Autolycos' back to come and play an episode."
HM: "Oh, that's great! It sounds fantastik!"
KS: "Yes, they are talking to him right now."
HM: "And Ralf Moeller? Will he be back?"
KS: "I know that they have talked to him. But I haven't seen a script with him
in yet. But I know that's definitely something we talked about before we started
season 3. We are already half way through season 3 now and it really depends on
what the sketch men work out for both sides. I don't know yet."
HM: "You know, Kevin, I have made an interview with him last April. To me, he
seemed pretty much interested to play Jaeger again."
KS: "I know he wants to do it again, I ran into him when I was in Los Angeles.
And he said he would love to do another episode with us. He was great fun to
work with, we had a very good time."
HM: "Another question about ANDROMEDA will there be more action in season 3?
KS: Yes, this season I think more than in the first two seasons. We are now
working with more comedy and more action. We are making the stories less
dependent on each other. So if you miss an episode, you are not gonna be totally
confused on watching the next one. I think that's a smarter way to go and so I
think we are actually bringing touches and visions of what 'Hercules' had into
this show.
HM: ” Do you as 'Dylan' will have a new uniform this season?"
KS laughing: “I will have a lot of new uniforms this season!"
HM laughing, too: "Oh, than we will see a very stylish Dylan?"
KS, still giggling: "Yes, sure. I am almost wearing different cloths on almost
every episode now."
HM: "Will Dylan have new love affair? Maybe with Rommie?"
KS starts to laugh again: "Rommie? Hey, Rommie is a computer! I think Dylan
wouldn't mind, he would love to, but that's a little sick!"
HM: "Yes, but just a little bit!"
KS still giggling : “Maybe in one of Dylan's dreams that will happen. But I
really don't know! “Both are laughing loudly.
KS: But I think they will put in a few more love interests for him, but we
haven't really done that much this season. That's something I think that is
important, too. They need to write that kind of stuff, the fans would love to
see that.
HM: "Oh, yes, definitely. By the way, Kevin, will you direct an episode
yourself?"
KS: "I was supposed to do that in the last two years. But so far I haven't been
interested. We will see. I am supposed to do one later this year. But still I do
not know if I am gonna make it. I like my time right now. I like my free-time.
If I direct and act, it's gonna take so much more time away. Right now I just
don't have the energy to do it. I rather prefer to go home and play with my
boy."
HM: "Yes, it's good that you do that because children grow up so fast. Well, at
least my kids did! I was always afraid that I could miss something."
KS: "Yes, that's true. I feel the same way."
HM: "Kevin, tell me will there be a returning villian in season 3? A new evil
counter part?"
KS: “You know, Hanne, the only ones that will return, are the ones from the end
of season 2. I don't know if you have already seen that. Have you seen that? Are
you already that far over there?"
HM: "No, the next episode here will be "The Things We Cannot Change".
KS: ” Okay, got the picture. That's the one were Dylan is in that sort of dream
sequence, where he almost dies, right?"
HM: "Yes, that one. But RTL 2 planned not to show the end of season 2. They will
show us that one together with the first episode of season 3. That means they
are planning a 'Special Andromeda Night' on RTL 2!"
KS: "Really,? Oh that's actually pretty good then. You'll see. Sounds really
great to me! So, Hanne, the villian you will see at the end of season 2, will
obviously return at the beginning of season 3. And right now, as we speak, we
are shooting a new episode with those same villians."
HM: "Okay, I see. Sounds very exciting to me."
KS: "Yes, those episodes are pretty cool. Lot of action and that stuff."
HM: "Thank you so much for the interview, Kevin. It's been a pleasure to talk to
you."
KS: "Heh, you're welcome. But before we stop, I want to add something. I heard
about that horrible flood you have been experiencing. Please tell the people
that I am very sorry for them."
HM: "You heard about the flood?"
KS: "Yes, of course. I saw it on the news-channel and read about it in the
papers. It seems like the whole country went under water. It looks like the
earth goes crazy. We need all the water we can get and you guys get way too
much!"
HM: "Yes, it was horrible. I am glad it seems to be over. Well, at least for the
next few days."
KS: "Then let's keep our fingers crossed. Let's keep our fingers crossed that it
stays that way!"
HM: "Okay, that's all for today. Thank you very much and give my regards to Sam
and Braedon!"
KS: "I will do that. And talk to you soon and take care."
HM: "Yes. Bye, bye!
KS: "Bye, bye!"
