Kevin´s 45. Birthday 2003


Kevins Geburtstag
Kevin ist 45 Jahre alt geworden – kaum zu glauben. Viele Fans und Mitglieder im Club haben sich an der Aktion „Geburtstagspostkarten für Kevin“ rege und mit viel Phantasie beteiligt – das war wirklich eine gelungene Aktion! Wir haben alle laminiert und einen „Fächer“ daraus kreiert. Die Idee ist ausgefallen und richtig chic! Dazu erhielt Kevin von uns einen kleinen Behälter

[Brotbüchse mit der Maus aus der Sendung mit der Maus] gefüllt mit Goldbärchen - Milkaschokolinsen-Karamellen usw., allerdings nicht ganz ohne Hinterlist, denn es gab so manches dazu zu schreiben, denn 45 Jahre sind etwas Besonderes. Kevin erhielt eine Torte dazu eine extra Ration „Niederegger Marzipan“, glaubt mir Leute, sie hat den Tag nicht überlebt!

Der besondere Gag jedoch war die Geburtstagstorte, die ich in Vancouver in einer Bäckerei bestellte. Auf die Torte wurde auf Reispapier ein Foto, Kevin als Dylan Hunt mit seiner Crew, aufgetragen.

Als ich am 24.09.03 die Torte abholte, blieb mir vor Schreck fast das Herz stehen: wie sollte ich bitte die Torte heil ans Set bekommen? Bereits auf dem Weg zum Auto rutschte diese im Karton hin und her [durchsichtige Kunststoffhaube] – etwas der farbigen Creme fand den Weg an meine Hand. Ihr könnt Euch vorstellen, wie vorsichtig ich an diesem Tag ans Set gefahren bin. Dann stand die Torte im Büro und wurde von allen bestaunt.

Erst nach dem Lunch konnte ich die Torte aus dem Büro holen und diese, zusammen mit den anderen Geschenken und den Postkarten, Kevin überreichen- Kevin war völlig überrascht, noch eine Torte an diesem Tag zu erhalten. Kevin freute sich riesig [wie man auf dem Foto sehen kann] über die Torte seines Fan Clubs.


Die Postkarten konnte sich Kevin erst sehr viel später in Ruhe anschauen, deshalb sandte er uns erst vor kurzem zwei Nachrichten an uns alle - die erste Nachricht findet Ihr auf unserer Club – Homepage, die zweite möchte ich hier abdrucken.

Danke an alle, die den Spaß mitgemacht haben, Kevin hat es sehr zu schätzen gewusst und unglaublich viele Goodies signiert. Was das ist? Es wird demnächst eine neue Auktion gestartet, schaut mal rein, dann seht ihr es.

Beim Clubtreffen in Hamburg konnte sich bereits der eine oder andere einige davon mit nach Hause nehmen.

Kevin's 45th Birthday

Kevin's now 45 years old - that's hardly believable! Many fans and members of our club contributed to our campaign - birthday postcards for Kevin - actively and very creatively. It really worked! We laminated them all and created a "fan". The result is very decorative and it looks really chic. We also presented Kevin with a small box containing gummy bears, lit-tle Milka chocolates, caramels, et cetera - but not without some craftiness - there was much to write about, because 45 years are something very special. Kevin also got a birth-day cake and an extra ration of Niederegger marzipan, and believe me folks, it didn't last the day!

A special gag, however, was the birthday cake I ordered in a bakery in Vancouver. On top of the cake was a picture of Kevin as Dylan Hunt, together with his crew.

When I fetched the cake, I nearly had a heart attack. How, for heavens sake, would I get it to the set safely? The cake began to slide in its box already on my way to the car - and I got some of the coloured cream onto my hand. You can imagine, that this day I drove to the set extra carefully. Then I took it to the office for everybody to marvel at.

After lunch I fetched the cake from the office and handed it to Kevin, together with the other presents and the postcards. Kevin was completely surprised to get still another cake. As you can see on the photograph, Kevin was really chuffed about this cake from his fan club.

It was very much later that Kevin had the time to take a closer look at the postcards, that's why he sent us two messages just recently. The first you find on our home page, the other one you can see below.

Thanks to everybody who joined us in this fun. Kevin appreciated it very much and signed a lot of goodies. What kind of? There'll be another auction soon, so take a look. At our club meeting in Hamburg some of you could already take a few of them.
