The Interview with Heidi and Anne

MuT Has there been a particular trigger for founding the club? We know that many people are enthused by actors, but then to create a club is a big step, which means a lot of responsibility!

As Hannelore Müller founded the club, we can’t tell very much about the trigger. But Kevin’s friendly manner and his appraisal of the fans were reason enough for us to continue the club.

MuT Did you follow the series „Hercules“ with Kevin Sorbo closely in the 90s?

Yes, Anne did, since the first long Hercules movie aired Eastern 1995 over here; Heidi and Lindsey a little later.

MuT Did you notice personally that some fans were lost after Kevin Sorbo’s change of genre, which he did with „Andromeda“?

Some, yes, however new fans from the Sci-Fi area joined. During all the years, however, its been shown that Kevin possesses a loyal and continuous fan community.

MuT Many artists delegate the caring for the fans to their managers or their agencies – how does Kevin Sorbo stand with his fans is he a star “to be touched”?

Kevin is absolutely a star to be touched, he enjoys the contact with his fans.

MuT How would you describe your co-operation with him until now?

Very friendly, Kevin doesn’t have any airs and graces.

MuT How many meetings with Kevin Sorbo have taken place already – with his fans and also in a private circle, only with the club leadership?

Since 2004 Kevin has participated in 7 conventions in Europe. During three of those conventions a club meeting with Kevin was possible. In 2009, during our first year of leading the club, Kevin was, because of shooting a movie, only able to participate for one day in a con in Ghent, however we hope that he will find time for a chat with the team during one of his next visits to Europe!

MuT Could you reveal to us how many members your club has got?

As Kevin would like to gather thousands of fans around him and unfortunately we can’t keep up with this (yet), we’d like to maintain a low profile concerning the number of our members.

MuT Of course our readers are also interested about how you found each other as a team to lead the club!?

Lindsey, Heidi and Anne, - we had been in the team around Hannelore Müller when she decided to retire from club life. At this time we were already on very friendly terms, and this friendship has deepened in the meantime. In our opinion it isn’t possible to lead any club successfully in any other way. This is also made easier by Kevin’s agreeable manner of co-operation.

MuT Do you also offer special actions or bargains around and with Kevin Sorbo? If yes, which are they?

At the moment we are still building up. What we offer already is to forward requests for autographs and fan mail to Kevin. If Kevin has the possibility and the time to come to Europe, we will of course try to arrange a club meeting with him. Furthermore we plan to offer some fan articles to the fans soon, via our homepage, always of course with a donation to Kevin’s organisation WFIT. The club calendar with photos of Kevin is released annually.

MuT Has it been possible for you to visit the artist on a set and to witness a day of shooting?

Hannelore Müller already had the great pleasure to visit Kevin on the set of Hercules and Andromeda. We hope that we may also enjoy this sometime.

MuT What new projects can be announced for Kevin Sorbo?

MuT How do you imagine the future of the club, respectively for how long will you lead it?

As long as Kevin has fun working with us.
